UNAIDS IATT on Education launches CD-ROM of its resources

On World AIDS Day 2009, the UNAIDS Inter-Agency Task Team (IATT) on Education is pleased to launch a CD-ROM of technical resources to advance the education sector response to HIV and AIDS. Included on the CD-ROM are advocacy briefs, toolkits and other technical materials in a range of languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.)

UNESCO launches EDUCAIDS CD-Rom

UNESCO announces the launch of the Global Initiative on Education and HIV & AIDS (EDUCAIDS) CD-Rom aimed at ensuring greater access to materials that promote comprehensive education sector responses to HIV and AIDS. The CD-ROM contains more than 200 supporting documents for the EDUCAIDS
Resource Pack in all 6 UN languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish) and Portuguese.

Teachers and HIV & AIDS: Reviewing achievements, identifying challenges

UNESCO’s International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP) and the UNAIDS Inter-Agency Task Team (IATT) on Education organized an e-Forum on “Teachers and HIV & AIDS: Reviewing achievements, identifying challenges” from 18 to 29 May 2009.

Building knowledge about HIV and AIDS: an interactive course for educators is a self-access e-learning course primarily designed for people who are involved in educating young people in both formal and informal educational settings. This course aims to build a broad knowledge base on HIV and AIDS. Learners will gain an in-depth understanding of the scientific, social, behavioural and health-related aspects of HIV and AIDS.
