Estratégia de aceleração da prevenção da infecção pelo HIV
Mozambique. Government
The goal of the strategy is to identify the most critical interventions that may contribute to a significant reduction of the HIV incidence in the country. This identification exercise implies: 1) a thorough understanding of epidemiological and sociological factors that stimulate the epidemic and 2) knowledge of the reason why the prevention actions adopted so far have not produced the desired effect. The Priority Action Areas are: Health Counselling and Testing; Condoms; High Risk Groups; Early Detection and Treatment of Sexually Transmitted Infections; Male Circumcision; Prevention of Vertical Transmission (Mother to Child Transmission); Access to Treatment; Bio-security.
