This is the full report of a technical workshop "HIV prevention among young people in sub-Saharan Africa: the way forward". The aim of the workshop was to provide guidance and support for evidence-informed interventions to prevent HIV among young people in sub-Saharan Africa. A report of technical meeting co-sponsored by USAID Office of HIV/AIDS, the Institute for Youth Development, and YouthNet/Family Health International held in Washington DC on July 24, 2003. The objectives of the meeting were to share state-of-the-art research and programmatic experiences relating to HIV prevention among young people, and to provide an opportunity for dialogue across groups from different academic disciplines and philosophical perspectives on strategies for HIV prevention among youth.
