    Nous présentons ici nos résultats préliminaires concernant l’étude des pratiques d’enseignants de biologie du secondaire dans la prévention du SIDA. Par une étude comparative entre la France et le Congo-Brazzaville, nous cherchons à définir l’articulation entre les contenus enseignés sur le SIDA (par rapport aux programmes), les situations pédagogiques mises en oeuvre, les modèles de prévention et la perception que les enseignants ont de leur rôle d’acteur de prévention-SIDA, et d'autre part l'impact que ces pratiques peuvent avoir sur le système didactique.

  5. Sex and relationship education: views from teachers, parents and governors

    Almost 1,500 school leaders, school governors and parents of school-aged children were asked for their views on the current provision of SRE and how the topic should be delivered in future. Key findings. There was a very high level of agreement between parents, school leaders and governors about SRE provision. More than nine out of 10 parents, and approximately eight out of 10 school leaders and governors agreed that it was 'very important' for children to receive information on practising safer sex and always using contraception. …

    The purpose of this study was to investigate challenges facing headteachers in the implementation of AIDS education in secondary school curriculum in Busia, Bunyala and Samia Districts and find out how they were coping. Specifically, it focused on challenges in induction of teachers, provision of teaching and learning materials, supervision and evaluation of the teaching of AIDS education.     The role of education is important for providing the right educational messages on HIV prevention and mitigation, and reduction of stigma and discrimination against people infected and affected by HIV and AIDS. UNESCO considers it as one important area that the education sector can contribute and make education sector response a low cost and high impact initiative. In case of Nepal, we have no evidence on what the education sector has done to prevent HIV and mitigate its impact.
