  1. Integrated strategy for HIV, Hepatitis B and C and other sexually transmitted infections

    The strategy was jointly developed by the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). By connecting interventions on HIV with those on Hepatitis B and C as well as other sexually transmitted infections (STIs), the strategy aims to create synergies in prevention, diagnosis, testing and care for patients. The document describes developments and challenges in Germany (part 1), the objectives of the strategy (part 2), the areas of intervention (part 4) and international contributions in both Europe and globally (part 5).

  2. Health promotion for sexual and reproductive health and HIV: strategic action plan, 2016 to 2019

    This strategic action plan sets out Public Health England’s (PHE) approach to improving the public’s sexual and reproductive health and reversing the HIV epidemic. PHE will use its expertise to enhance data and surveillance; to build on the evidence base for commissioning effective interventions; and to lead and support local, regional and national partners in the implementation of evidence-based public health interventions across the system.

    This is the first national strategy for sexual health and HIV. It is a strategy that will modernise sexual health and HIV sevices in the United Kingdom. It addresses the rising prevalence of STIs and of HIV.
