  1. Life Doesn’t Wait. Romania’s Failure to Protect and Support Children and Youth Living with HIV

    More than 7,200 Romanian children and youth age fifteen to nineteen are living with HIV—the largest such group in any European country. The vast majority were infected with HIV between 1986 and 1991 as a direct result of government policies that exposed them to contaminated needles and “microtransfusions” of unscreened blood. Despite Romania’s progressive expansion of access to antiretroviral drugs, these children and youth face pervasive stigma and discrimination that often impedes their enjoyment of basic rights and services. …

  2. I Am One of 7 Million: YPLHIV Advocacy Messages

    This advocacy poster containing key messages and briefing paper were developed by GNP+ and the World AIDS Campaign by and for youth. They emerged from a literature review, key informant interviews and an online survey of 168 youth livign with HIV from 55 countries. The messages are also available in French, Spanish, and Russian.

  3. Informe sobre la situación de los derechos humanos de las personas que viven con VIH/SIDA (PVVS) y acceso a la atención integral y los tratamientos antirretrovirales (ARV) en América Latina y el Caribe

    Ese trabajo nace de la necesidad de buscar fórmulas alternativas para lograr el vital acceso a los ARV y la atención integral. Surge para los violentados derechos humanos de los afectados un nuevo desafío, cual es vincular el acceso a los ARV a los derechos fundamentales. Así se inicia un movimiento sin precedente en el área de la salud en la región LAC para demandar de los Estados el cumplimento de lo contenido en los Tratados Internacionales de Derechos Humanos, las Constituciones nacionales y leyes especiales.
