In 2005 EI sent a survey to all unions involved in the then 'HIV and AIDS Prevention through Schools Programme' to gather information on the positioning of HIV and AIDS within pre and in-service training. The general objective of this research study was to investigate the impact of HIV/AIDS on education. The study also sought to find out how education can be used in the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS.The findings of this study show that HIV/AIDS has had wide spread effects on children's learning experiences.
