    Project activities focused around the XVII International AIDS Conference (IAC) and a pre-conference symposium on children and HIV, both held in Mexico City from 1-8 August 2008. In the period leading up to these events, HealthDev.net, a dialogue and social networking platform, hosted online discussions on this theme.     The third Global Partners' Forum (GPF) on Children affected by HIV and AIDS was, for the first time, preceded by a technical consultation of diverse stakeholders.     On October 23, 2001, more than 100 people gathered at Peace Corps headquarters in Washington, D.C., for the third in a series of Town Hall Meetings to address the needs of orphans and vulnerable children in developing countries. The meeting focused on the challenge of educating children and adolescents affected by AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa.
