    Under the umbrella of Joint HIV Mainstreaming in German Development Cooperation the implementing agencies GTZ, ded, InWent, KfW and the German Embassy in Tanzania held their First joint HIV Mainstreaming Day for national Personnel on 7th August 2009 in Dar es Salaam. The main focus of the meeting was on learning more about the implementation of HIV Workplace Programmes (WPP) and discussing different aspects of HIV Policies, such as the importance of equal rights and employment opportunities.     Este documento foi concebido pela UNICEF Moçambique e trata do problema das crianças órfãs e vulneráveis ao HIV/SIDA. O SIDA está a tornar-se rapidamente na maior causa de mortalidade infantil. Em 2006, estima-se que existam 99,000 crianças com menos de 15 anos de idade que vivem com HIV/SIDA, e aproximadamente 80 por cento destas têm menos de cinco anos. A pandemia do SIDA continua a contribuir para o aumento de crianças órfãs e vulneráveis. Estima-se que há para cima de 1,6 milhoes de órfaos em Moçambique e que mais de 20 por cento destes sao resultado do SIDA. …

    A story of a couple; Shahid and Zeenat who get information about HIV/AIDS through a television drama. Zeenat, the wife, is a Matriculate, and Shahid her husband, though not highly educated, is a hard working farmer. Before their marriage, he used to enjoy life in the company of his friends. After his marriage, Shahid settled down to family life and proved himself to be a good husband. Through a T.V. advertisement, Zeenat comes to know that loss of weight and persistent fever are symptoms of HIV/AIDS.
