    Peer education for HIV prevention has been widely implemented in developing countries, yet the effectiveness of this intervention has not been systematically evaluated. We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of peer education interventions in developing countries published between January 1990 and November 2006.   2. Does knowledge equal change? HIV/AIDS education and behaviour change

    This paper sets out to demonstrate that clear links exist between HIV/AIDS education, both inside and outside the education system, and levels of awareness and knowledge about HIV/AIDS and associated risk behaviour. It also examines evidence of consequent behaviour change in relation to such information and linked understanding of the risks posed by HIV/AIDS.
