    Stigma and discrimination towards people living with HIV have been widely documented, and have extended their impact into the workplace. Stigmatising attitudes towards people living with HIV (PLHIV) in the workplace significantly hinder HIV prevention efforts and indirectly affect national development. This cross-sectional study was designed to determine the level of knowledge about HIV and AIDS and assess attitudes towards PLHIV among the general staff of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), as well as to identify factors that are associated with it.

  4. Male Homosexual Identities, Relationships, and Practices among Young Men Who have Sex with Men in Vietnam: Implications for HIV Prevention

    This qualitative study examines local identities, relationships, and sexual practices among young MSM aged 15-24 in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city of Vietnam. The analyses were based on 26 in-depth interviews and 10 focus group discussions with young MSM recruited through public place intercepts and cruising areas.   5. Survey on health seeking behaviour of women working in the entertainment sector in Phnom Penh

    The report on a research study to explore the situation of these indirect sex workers, their needs for STI services and possible barriers to accessing STI services conducted by Pharmaciens sans Frontieres. The study revealed that young women working in karaoke parlours and night-clubs were less likely to be aware of STIs and had limited access to STI treatment services. Some were aware about the transmission and prevention of HIV infection and the use of condom as an effective means of preventing HIV, STIs and pregnancy.
