  2. Joint HIV Mainstreaming in German Development Cooperation in Tanzania

    Under the umbrella of Joint HIV Mainstreaming in German Development Cooperation the implementing agencies GTZ, ded, InWent, KfW and the German Embassy in Tanzania held their First joint HIV Mainstreaming Day for national Personnel on 7th August 2009 in Dar es Salaam. The main focus of the meeting was on learning more about the implementation of HIV Workplace Programmes (WPP) and discussing different aspects of HIV Policies, such as the importance of equal rights and employment opportunities.   3. Status of legislation in relation to HIV in Eastern and Southern Africa

    This table summarizes the status of legislation in relation to HIV in Eastern and Southern Africa. The approached subjects are anti-discrimination and equality, HIV specific legislation, gender violence/sexual offences, right to health care/reproductive health, child protection/vulnerable groups, property rights and inheritance, customary practices. This table was taken from "Supporting the response to the HIV epidemic in Eastern and Southern Africa through the international human rights framework", by UNDP.

  4. The second national multi-sectoral strategic framework on HIV and AIDS (2008-2012)

    The second National Multi-sectoral Strategic Framework (NMSF) on HIV and AIDS covers the period 2008 to 2012. It builds on the achievements and strengths of the National Response to the HIV epidemic in the last five years (2003-2007) and proposes measures and strategies to overcome past barriers and constraints. This NMSF guides the approaches, interventions and activities which will be undertaken by all actors in the country. The framework was developed through an extensive review and consultation process under the guidance of the national and international consultants.
