  7. Survey on health seeking behaviour of women working in the entertainment sector in Phnom Penh

    The report on a research study to explore the situation of these indirect sex workers, their needs for STI services and possible barriers to accessing STI services conducted by Pharmaciens sans Frontieres. The study revealed that young women working in karaoke parlours and night-clubs were less likely to be aware of STIs and had limited access to STI treatment services. Some were aware about the transmission and prevention of HIV infection and the use of condom as an effective means of preventing HIV, STIs and pregnancy.   8. Adolescents data on reproductive health issues in the I. R. of Iran

    The paper presents the results of a baseline survey conducted to assess the knowledge and awareness of reproductive health matters among the students of the junior and high schools. The survey was conducted by the Statistical Centre of Iran with the collaboration of UNFPA-Iran in the selected project areas. Survey information will facilitate the monitoring and evaluation of the current programme of the Ministry of Education and help formulate the future plan of action.
