    This article highlights the needs of adolescent males as they go through a critical process of forming self-identity. This call to action is a result of the gathering of 50 participants, coming from 8 countries in Eastern and Southern Africa, representing nongovernmental organisations, institutions of higher learning, church organisations, Southern African Development Community (SADC), UNICEF, UNAIDS, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and youth interested in psychosocial support for children affected by AIDS.
