    Das Nationale Programm HIV und andere sexuell übertragbare Infektionen (NPHS) 2011-2017 beschreibt die Strategie zur Prävention sowie zur Diagnose und Behandlung von HIV und anderen STI. Es basiert auf der gesetzlichen Grundlage des Epidemiengesetzes. Der Schwerpunkt der Strategie liegt auf besonders gefährdeten Gruppen und auf bereits Infizierten und ihren Partnerinnen und Partnern. Die Strategie fokussiert darauf, die Bevölkerung auf die Gefährdung der sexuellen Gesundheit zu sensibilisieren und sie zu deren Erhalt sowie zum Schutz vor sexuell übertragbaren Infektionen zu befähigen.

    Dignity Denied documents the systemic discrimination and abuse that HIV-positive women endure in Chilean health facilities. Based on women's testimonies and those of healthcare providers, this report exposes the discriminatory and often dehumanizing experiences that Chilean women living with HIV/AIDS face when seeking healthcare, including failures to protect patient confidentiality, lack of adequate pre- and post-test counseling, delayed or abusive treatment, pressure to not bear children, and coercive and forced sterilization.

    Mother-to-child transmission of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection was extremely common in southern Africa during the 1990s, and a substantial minority of infected infants have survived to reach adolescence undiagnosed. Studies have shown a high prevalence of HIV infection in hospitalized adolescents who have features associated with long-standing HIV infection, including stunting and frequent minor illnesses. En esta guía se describe un proceso aprobado por los gobiernos, en la Región de América, para la aplicación de pruebas de diagnóstico del VIH en una misma visita. Cuando esté concluido este protocolo los resultados se informarán utilizando un algoritmo que abarca procedimientos rápidos y operativos estandarizados para el diagnóstico del VIH.     HIV testing and counselling (HTC) is the main entry point to prevention, care and treatment. These guidelines were developed in the context of existing Kenyan laws and policies, especially the HIV and AIDS Prevention and Control Act (2006). They support the provision of HTC to children, youth, and adults, according to the circumstances described herein.
