    This journal article is a study of adolescent linkage to HIV care in the United States. The study seeks to understand the issues with linkage to care among adolescents. The study shows that multiple models exist for linkage to care and that it is important to have formal and informal community relationships for linkage to care to work among adolescents. The barriers that linkage to care for adolescents face is structural rather than due to adolescent characteristics.   2. Generation Rx.com : how young people use the internet for health information

    The report presents an analysis of the results of Generation Rx.com, a nationally representative, random dial telephone survey of 1209 young people ages 15-24, with an oversample 200 non-white respondents. The survey was designed to examine how young people use Internet for health information: are they turning to the Internet for information on their health and well-being; what types of issues are they researching online; how they go about finding the information they need; do they trust what they learn; does the information they find influence their behaviour.

    UNESCO has undertaken a study of the response of Universities to the HIV/AIDS epidemic and the University of The West Indies (UWI) was selected as one of these. When reviewed against the general overview of the response of the tertiary sector internationally, the UWI shows a strong commitment to HIV and AIDS management and to the development of a comprehensive and innovative programme. The existing UWI response is summarised followed by some of the interesting observations and lessons learned and some suggestions for expanding the programme and the development of new initiatives. …
