    The Syllabus is presented in four strands personality and social development, growth development and health awareness, health of individual and community and physical fitness. Out of these four strands, physical fitness strands aims to inculcate an active life throughout the life span with engagement in exercise and games which are needed for a healthy living. At the completion of the syllabus the child becomes a young person who is resilient has emotional strength and perseveres in the face of challenges and manifests courage, optimism, adaptability and resourcefulness.

    This is a manual for facilitators working with adolescents, generally aged 10–14, to help them address the many situations they encounter at home, school and in their communities. This manual is the beginning of a series that treats topics such as selfimage, setting goals, making plans, gender and family roles and relationships. Choose a Future! currently includes 15 modules and 66 sessions. Each session takes 1 to 2½ hours to complete. Sessions can be completed in weekly meetings or more frequently.     Fulaas is one of our community based distributors. He’s also a volunteer. This film follows him as he dispenses family planning advice and contraceptives to villagers in Oromo, Ethiopia. Without Fulaas, and others like him, there would be very little access to contraception in rural Ethiopia. Development depends on getting the right supplies - contraceptives, condoms, medicines, and equipment – to the people who need them most. And that depends on our volunteers. They are part of the largest voluntary organization in sexual and reproductive health and rights. …
