    This report is a call to decision makers, parents, communities and to the world to end child marriage. It documents the current scope, prevalence and inequities associated with child marriage. This document argues that child marriage jeopardizes girls’ rights and stands in the way of girls living educated, healthy and productive lives. Furthemore, early marriage also excludes girls from fundamental decisions, such as the timing of marriage and choice of spouse.   6. Sexual and reproductive health rights of adolescents living with HIV

    The International HIV/AIDS Alliance have carried out a literature review of the sexual and reproductive health rights of adolescents living with HIV. The study found that adolescents living with HIV have largely been left out of the national responses to HIV/AIDS in low-income settings. Their needs differ from those of adults living with HIV and they face many challenges, including serious service access barriers that require greater attention and advocacy. In most low-income countries health systems have not been designed and do not have the capacity to meet their specific needs. …

  9. Youth's voices: report on sexual and reproductive rights in Central and Eastern Europe and Balkan countries

    In May 2006, ASTRA-Youth concluded a research done in 11 countries from Central and Eastern Europe and the Balkans. In average, 50 young people (between 16 and 30 years old) were interviewed in each country. The research focussed on the knowledge and attitudes of Youth towards Sexual and Reproductive Health issues in their countries. In addition, a cross cultural analysis of the data provided a clear picture of the commonalities and differences in attitudes and needs, giving the opportunity to share best practices and materials amongst participating countries. …
