    This paper synthesises the evidence on sexual and reproductive health situation of young people in India, sheds light on those sub-populations of young people who are most vulnerable to adverse sexual and reproductive outcomes, and assesses the barriers that compromise the sexual and reproductive health and rights of young people at the individual and family levels, as well as at the programme delivery level.

  3. Reproductive Health Survey Georgia 2010: Final Report

    This report presents the findings of the 2010 Georgia Reproductive Health Survey (GERHS10). The GERHS10 is the third nationally representative survey to collect comprehensive information on reproductive health status and utilization of reproductive health and maternal and child health care services in the country. A major purpose of these surveys in Georgia was to produce national and sub-national estimates of factors related to pregnancy and fertility, such as sexual activity and contraceptive use; use of abortion and other medical services; maternal and infant health, and women’s health.

    Ipas developed a monitoring tool with simple benchmarks that NGOs can use to assess progress toward meeting MDGs 3 (promoting gender equality and women's empowerment), 5 (improving maternal health) and 6 (combating HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria) in relation to HIV and reproductive health and rights.     This report summarizes HIV prevalence and the associations between HIV serostatus and key characteristics and behaviors of adult women and men in 22 developing countries, primarily in sub- Saharan Africa. Data come from Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) and AIDS Indicator Surveys (AIS) conducted between 2001 and 2006. In most of these surveys, nationally representative samples of women age 15-49 and men age 15-59 were tested for HIV. …

  13. Lao reproductive health survey 2000 (LRHS 2000)

    The LRHS 2000, funded by UNFPA was undertaken with the purpose of providing up-to-date information on fertility levels, determinants of fertility, fertility preferences, family planning, infant and child mortality, reproductive health and child health, including breastfeeding, and knowledge of RTIs/STDs and HIV/AIDS. The information is intended to assist policy makers and programme managers in planning, designing, managing and evaluating programmes. It is also meant to improve birth spacing/family planning services in the country.
