    In Cameroon, a girl's Auntie used to be her most trusted confidante, teacher and counsellor on sexual matters. In 2001, GTZ launched the Aunties Programme which borrows from this tradition. Its overall aim is to develop strategies for the delivery of Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and Family Life Education (FLE) information services to in-school youth between the ages of 10-24.     This programme is included in the Source Book of HIV/AIDS Prevention Program that presents 13 cases studies of good and promising practices of HIV/AIDS prevention programs in Sub-Saharan Africa. The AMREF, LSHTM and NIMR, initiated a program in 62 primary schools and 18 health facilities in Mwanza region in Tanzania in January 1999.
