    It is very important that sex and relationships education (SRE) programme developers attempt to elicit, understand and incorporate young people's views in the SRE development and implementation processes. This paper reports the findings of a study that sought to identify young people's self-identified learning needs and priorities regarding sexual health that should be included in school-based SRE.     This review of the education sector response to HIV, drugs and sexual and reproductive health in Timor- Leste aimed to examine the present policy and programmatic response in the sector, to identify gaps and to propose recommendations to support the response. The review was carried out mainly through the use of desk research and interviews with stakeholders. The education sector response to HIV, drugs, sexual and reproductive health education has been very limited to date.   7. Awareness and knowledge of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) among school-going adolescents in Europe: a systematic review of published literature

    This systematic review looks at levels of STI awareness, knowledge and perceived risk of school-going adolescents in Europe. Fifteen studies were included, all of which cross-sectional and conducted among 13 to 20 year olds. Awareness and knowledge varied depending on gender. Awareness on HIV/AIDS was high (over 90%) but low for HPV (5.4%-66%). While knowledge that condoms protect against STIs was high, adolescents viewed it as an interim contraception method before using the pill.     The main goal of the manual is to provide regional coordinators with materials to conduct teacher-training in the HFLE Common Curriculum on two unit themes: Self and Interpersonal Relationships (which incorporates violence prevention) and Sexuality and Sexual Health (which includes HIV/AIDS prevention). The document can serve as a regional coordinator's training manual in order to standardize teacher training across the four CARICOM countries.

    This programme is included in the Source Book of HIV/AIDS Prevention Program that presents 13 cases studies of good and promising practices of HIV/AIDS prevention programs in Sub-Saharan Africa. The aim of the 'Straight Talk Program' is to increase adolescents' and adults understanding of adolescent sexuality and reproductive health. It also aims to promote safer sex and the development of life skills, as well as to raise awareness of child and adolescent rights.   13. From Policy to Practice: Sexual Health Education in Zimbabwean Secondary Schools

    This study explores the path from policy to practice of sexual health education in Zimbabwe, in order to identify the barries to programme implementation and key elements of success. Zimbabwe relatively high secondary school enrollment rates make secondary school a potential source for providing young people with the knowledge and skills they need to protect themselves from risks and lead healthy lifestyles.
