    This report represents the findings of the second cross-sectional study conducted in 2006, one years after the first study.     Estudio realizado en trabajadoras sexuales de Cochabamba, Bolivia.áSe encuestaron a 163 trabajadoras sexuales de 19 locales de la ciudad. La edad media es de 24 años, la mínima de 18 y máxima de 55. El 97%, refiere que escuchó alguna vez sobre el VIH/sida, el 98.2% refiere saber cómo evitar la transmisión y el 95.7% cita al condón como un medio de prevención. El 80.4% de las TS refiere que realizó el último control médico hace menos de un mes. El 19.3% de las TS encuestadas, refieren que durante los últimos seis meses tuvo secreciones, úlceras o llagas en genitales. …

    The process of linking sexual and reproductive health and HIV/AIDS needs to work in both directions: traditional sexual and reproductive health services need to integrate HIV/AIDS interventions, and programmes set up to address the AIDS epidemic need to integrate more general services for sexual and reproductive health. The case studies featured in this series have been chosen to demonstrate this two-way flow and to reflect the diversity of integration models. …

  5. Study of young men's sexual behaviour. Vientiane, Lao People's Democratic Republic. August-November 2004

    This study (one of the few of its kind conducted in Laos) provides a wealth of information on the sexual behaviour of young men, which could guide future HIV prevention programs. While the survey only looks at the attitudes and activities of men living and working in Vientiane, it nonetheless illuminates both important similarities and differences in Lao male behaviour compared to men in other countries, including countries in the immediate region.
