  2. Young People Most at Risk for HIV/AIDS

    Attention paid to adults most at risk for HIV/AIDS - people who sell sex, those who inject drugs, and men who have sex with men (MSM) - is growing. Unfortunately, the particular needs of young people (ages 10 to 24) in these groups have drawn little focus. Young people who are most at risk for infection with HIV are among society’s most marginalized groups. Much is known about the sexual risk factors for HIV transmission among youths, including sexual encounters that are coerced.     This guide responds to the low number of SRH-related proposals in Country Coordinated Proposals in previous Global Fund funding rounds, and to the expressed need of Member Associations of the International Planned Parenthood Federation to learn more about the nexus of SRH and HIV and about ways in which to get involved with the Global Fund and its in-country structures.   9. Survey assessment of Vietnamese youth

    This survey known as SAVY, which stands for Survey Assessment of Vietnamese Youth, was carried out by the Ministry of Health (MoH), the General Statistics Office (GSO), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations ChildrenÆs Fund (UNICEF). Nearly 7600 participants from 42 provinces across the country including males and females, married and unmarried, Kinh and ethnic minority. This national survey, the first of its kind in Viet Nam, represents an important collaborative partnership between many Government and international agencies and young people. …

  10. Reproductive health in the Sahel. Youth in danger: results of a regional survey in five West African countries

    Cette étude envisage de comprendre l'importance de la sexualité chez les adolescents, l'évolution et les différences de comportement sexuel, les connaissances et attitudes sur la planification familiale et la santé de reproduction et le SIDA, les différences dans l'utilisation des méthodes contraceptives par les adolescentes mariées et les célibataires au cours des 15 dernières années et enfin par les adolescentes mariées et autres femmes mariées. Les résultats de l'étude montrent la complexité, la sensibilité et l'urgence des problèmes qui se posent.
