  5. Individual- and community-level determinants of social acceptance of people living with HIV in Kenya: results from a national population-based survey

    Using data from the 2003 Kenya Demographic and Health Survey, we investigated the influence of individual- and community-level factors on accepting attitudes toward people living with HIV (PHLIV) using three outcomes: willingness to care for an infected household member, willingness to buy vegetables from an infected vendor, and willingness to allow an infected female teacher to continue teaching.     This report is structured in several chapters which approach the issue of human rights and people living with HIV/AIDS in Croatia. The introductory chapters are followed by several texts on most at risk groups included in this project. These include overviews on men who have sex with men; injecting drug users; women and HIV; and young people.
