  2. The beginning of the end? Tracking global commitments on AIDS

    ONE has prepared this accountability report to monitor progress made towards the beginning of the end of AIDS. Specifically, the report tracks progress made on three key targets–the virtual elimination of mother-to-child transmission, 15 million people on treatment, and the drastic reduction of new HIV infections–and assesses the political, programmatic, and financial contributions made by a variety of stakeholders (traditional donors, African leadership, emerging economies, and the NGO/private sectors).

  4. Teens and Sex in Europe: A Story of Rights, Respect and Responsibility

    This video documents the approaches and attitudes to sexuality education in the Netherlands, Germany and France as compared to those of the U.S., as the latter country has higher rates of teenage pregnandy, birth and sexually transmitted diseases. It documents teens, parents, government officials, educators and health care providers' views. Media clips of HIV and AIDS campaigns are used to supplement the documentary information.

  5. Variáveis culturais e psicossociais associadas à vulnerabilidade étnica ao HIV/AIDS: estudo comparativo entre Brasil e França

    Esta pesquisa teve por objetivo identificar aspectos culturais e psicossociais associados às vulnerabilidades de jovens afrodescendentes e brancos, no Brasil e na França, ao HIV/Aids. A pesquisa foi realizada em duas etapas: a primeira, qualitativa, com 36 entrevistas a estudantes do ensino médio no Brasil com o objetivo de fornecer elementos indicadores sobre a vulnerabilidade, conhecimentos e Representações Sociais da aids dos jovens brasileiros, além de indicar elementos para a elaboração de um questionário a ser aplicado na segunda etapa. …
