UNESCO is currently carrying out a review and update of the UN International Technical Guidance on Sexuality Education (ITGSE) to ensure that the evidence on sexuality education is up-to-date and that the content reflects the contemporary needs of all learners.
The voluntary and non-mandatory ITGSE was developed in 2009 by UNESCO in partnership with UNAIDS, UNFPA, UNICEF and WHO and seeks to assist education, health and other relevant authorities to develop and implement school-based sexuality education materials and programmes.
As part of this update process UNESCO has launched an online stakeholder survey to understand how the current ITGSE has been used, and what are the gaps or strengths that people have noted. We invite you to please fill in this survey and to also share it widely with your networks. The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete and is open until 4th September.
