This eLearning is intended for development practitioners working in response to HIV and AIDS. It is ideally suited for program officers in the field, working directly with communities. It is also intended for practitioners working in centralised offices to help them understand what culturally appropriate approaches are and how they might assist their organisations to respond better in this manner.

A promotional video is now available about UNESCO’s project on sexual education for adolescents and the new exhibition at Thailand's National Science Museum, titled "Healthy Sexuality: The Story of Love". This is a multi-faceted, interactive and entertaining exhibition presenting the 'naked truth' about love, relationships, communication, pregnancy and childbirth, contraception and safe sex, HIV and other STIs and sexual violence.

HIV Information Kit in Bahasa Language Published

The Bahasa version of the HIV Preventive Education Information Kit for School Teachers was recently published by Indonesian Nationnal Commission for UNESCO in collaboration with UNESCO Jakarta and UNESCO Bangkok offices. The Information Kit is aimed at assisting and guiding school teachers in dealing with challenges related to HIV and AIDS in the school setting. This includes countering community resistance to HIV and AIDS education, addressing stigma and discrimination and reducing risk behaviours.

Higher Education Science and Curricular Reforms: African Universities Responding to HIV and AIDS

This CD ROM is a product of the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Technology in Africa. It presents UNESCO's initiatives and efforts in mainstreaming HIV and AIDS into the curricula of institutions of higher learning, with the focus being on the engineering, mathematics, physics, chemistry and biological sciences curricula.

UNESCO Poster Competition 2010. Art in action. Empowering young people against HIV and AIDS

The United Nations Educational, Scientic and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is pleased to announce a poster competition, organised by the Section on HIV and AIDS in collaboration with the UNESCO Associated Schools Network (ASPnet). UNESCO intends to feature the winning design in its offcial conference materials for the 2010 International AIDS Conference (IAC) in Vienna, 18-23 July.

Clearinghouse in Spanish now on Facebook

As a way to reach more users, UNESCO’s HIV and AIDS Education Clearinghouse has launched a Facebook page in Spanish. This site is specifically oriented to users from Latin America and the Caribbean. It contains recommended documents and links from the Clearinghouse as well as announcements of HIV- and AIDS- related events and news.
